Pc dmis 3.7 mr1

Hello, I'm new to this forum, so any and all suggestions and help is greatly appreciated. I work during the day with pc dmis 2010 MR3. I accepted a side job not knowing that older software is being used. Now to my point.

the CMM with 3.7 is a brown and Sharp one 775 with a non motorized probing head. My question is how do I calibrate and add tips in 3.7... I have done some research and found that there is a PH9 setting where the tips go... but Im not sure how to put a change tip command in my program or how best to create and calibrate other tips needed.

thanks a bunch.

  • What head is it? Is it a head that has repeatable indexes (locks in specific positions) or is it like a PH1, which has no locakable positions, so each time you change it, you MUST calibrate it right then.

IF it is like the PH1, your qual-tool MUST BE LEFT IN PLACE, it can not be moved all during the execution of the program.

IF it has repeatable index locations, you simply add the angles like a PH9/PH10, then in the program, you activate the tip you want. You will need to move to a clean spot to allow you to do the manual indexing of the head, then move back to continue the program.
