Pc dmis 3.7 mr1

Hello, I'm new to this forum, so any and all suggestions and help is greatly appreciated. I work during the day with pc dmis 2010 MR3. I accepted a side job not knowing that older software is being used. Now to my point.

the CMM with 3.7 is a brown and Sharp one 775 with a non motorized probing head. My question is how do I calibrate and add tips in 3.7... I have done some research and found that there is a PH9 setting where the tips go... but Im not sure how to put a change tip command in my program or how best to create and calibrate other tips needed.

thanks a bunch.

  • Thanks Adam I will look there. @ matthew.... the head locks into a specific position, If I want to change the tip position I have to manually change it. there is a option for PH9 when I am creating my features. I read in the help file that this option has something to do with changing tip angles, and this option has to be checked if I am going to be using a angle other than A0B0. if this help you give me some more info, when I calibrate my tip PCDMIS asked me if the qual-tool has moved before it calibrates A0B0 which happens to be the only tip I am able to use currently.

thanks for you guy's input. It really helps there is a huge learning curve from 2010 and 3.7.
