Changing Labels

Is it possible to change the labels that PC_DMIS (4.2MR1) sends to Datapage?? I have a revision change and had to renumber the blue print and need the old data to line up with the new. I had an older version of datapage with MMIV and it could be done then but I can't figure out how to do it now. (ver 3.33)

  • When you say "Change the labels" I suppose you mean the dimension names? Certainly you can change them in PC-DMIS, and it will send the new ones to the database, but the problem is that that will not be associated with the original ones. Worse yet, if you re-use some labels on different characteristics, then thedata association will make no sense.

    You can always go into the database end edit the existing labels (after creating the new ones in PC-DMIS). This can be a lot of work. I am curious, how were you able to do it in the MM4 world? I am familiar with MM4/DataPage_unix, but fundamentally it is the same product.
