Still new at datapage and PCDMIS. So please forgive me if my question dose not come out right. my boss wants to know if you can sort the data by vendor, not just part number? I think you would creat a Query by using the vendors name? I'm guessing I need a comand in PCDMiS where you would place the vendors name? Well, to sort by vendors, and not by part number, then the part number must be the same no matter what vendor it comes from, meaning you get the same part from multiple sources since the PART number is what the data is saved to Datapage under. I hope you don't mean sample number when you say part number.
Anyway, you sort parts in a "part" in Datapage, you set up a tracefield in the program, and it must be after the stats/on command. Then in Datapage, you set up the query, it will walk you though it, it is quite simple, it is 'coding' in the strictest sense, BUT, it is a can't-screw-up form that you do the scripting in. Tracefield (math operation) value and you then select teh query when making the reports in Datapage. Queries are set up in the DPEditor
