New DataPAge

Hello'

I have DataPage plus but I guess they have now DataPage 2011 mr1?
I have had dowload the ZIP file, however, I would like to install the program my self. Hexagon is telling me that I need the "IT" person to do the update..
The "IT" person is extremly busy, not to mention that he is more busy download the bosses Ipod (MP3 music) rather then getting to work.

Anyways, I would like to do the download my self as I have always done it with PCDMIS updates.

Can someone help with this please..

One more thing. I have all the files of DataPage under the network, SQL, etc.

PCDMIS 2011 mR1

  • If you have everything running for DataPage Plus (SQL set up, data importer running, ect...) I don't think it will be too tough. I did the SQL setup over the network and all that myself, and I didn't even know what SQL was before that. But if the database connection is set-up already, I think MR1 will just adopt all of the settings from the original release. I'm not positive of this though, I started with MR1, anyone else?

If IT set up SQL over the network the first time, you'll need to know the password for 'sa' to connect to the database I believe. I did all the passwords and such, but you may run into permission problems if IT did it all the first time, which may be why Hexagon told you to get them to do it.

Just remember to RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR if you give it a go! (Not that I would know about forgetting to do that...)
