Datapage+ dp update

Hi gents.
We have recently upgraded from PCDMIS v3.7mr3 and Datapage V3.33 to PCDMIS2010mr3. We also updated to Windows7 64bit. We have been running Datapage v3.33 for reasons of continuity, ie. we have a lot of macros in dataview and reports and updates etc. Also we have a GM amendment to the dpupdate.exe file that creates their native database outputs as well as datapage database updates. Does Datapage+ use the dpupdate.exe? How does it move data from xstats11.tmp to the database?
Datapage v3.33 will not allow us to input our authorisation codes (yes we have a current SMA). Tech support have told us it because V3.33 is not compatible with Windows7 (I am still a little confused as to why they worked at all then). Datapage V3.33 has now decided to deny us access because our licence key is invalid. (its not). I cant believe I am the only person that has ever needed to to keep accessing their Datapage v3.33 database after updating to Windows7!

Any ideas????

Please??????Confused

  • I've had the same issue in pretty much the same circumstances. Only difference is using the 2011 version and getting a new computer.

Our copy of Datapage 3.33 installed and ran for several months in a Windows 7 64 bit environment. Out of nowhere Datapage stopped working. That's when we were then told that DP 3.33 won't work in Win 7, 64 bit. We created a virtual XP machine and installing Datapage 3.33 on it. That worked for at least 6 months. Sometime within the last few weeks, Datapage 3.33 quit working again. (We don't use it a lot, mostly transfer historical data to Excel to help engineering with print improvements.) After working with it for a while with Hexagon, we deleted our virtual XP machine and tried to created another. (Thinking that perhaps the XP machine was corrupted.) Now we can't create another virtual XP machine.

The next Hexagon recommended attempt is to resurrect our old computer with the old dongle, hook it up to the network, share the drive with the new PC DMIS box and supposedly things will be good.
