Datapage+ Problem

Hi, I hope you help me. I have problems with datapage+ 2011 mr1. I create my database but I can make the link with pc-dmis. In this case my database's name is "Test" and when I go to pc-dmis to try make the link I don't found it. When I done my program, I go to "Insert", "Statics Command", "Statics", select datapage+ and in the filed "data source" I try to found but doesn't shows my datanase "Test".

Thanks

  • The STATS/ON, Datapage+ option in PC-DMIS will only show a list of databases that are registered in the 'User ODBC' list (see Control Panel - Administrative Options - ODBC Data Sources).

When you create the database you should enable the option at the bottom of the dialog that refers to creating the user ODBC entries. (I forget the exact wording but it is right at the bottom of the create database dialog). Don't use the option 'All Users' at the bottom of the dialog. Datapage+ does setup the All Users entry properly but PC-DMIS won't see it as it only looks at databases from the 'User ODBC' list. As far as I know this bug in PC-DMIS still exists in the current versions.

You can manually create these ODBC entries if you have already created the database. If you open the settings for an existing database you can walk through the different screens and create a new entry based on what you saw from the existing entry. If you have more than one login user you will need to do this if the second user is expected to run PC-DMIS and send the data to Datapage+.
