My xstats files are named like this:
xstats-05-05-2014---12-21-55_635348893360854810.tmp
So they are generated with a date / time and a stamp - but since I have a lot of these xstats file it would be very usefull to have a better identification of the files in the file name.
Would it fx. be possible to include the name of the program in the name of the file as well - or would there be any other tricks to name the file with a better identification?
Yes, the date / time stamp is the only useful thing in the current state - but it really would be much easier to find the relevant xstats files it they were named in a more unique way.
To be clear, are you wanting to name transactions each program run? Are you wanting to name the "part" (not an individual transaction) within a database?
Somehow I'm thinking you may be more interested in trace fields / queries, have you learned of them?
Well, I already have a database where the measurements are recorded and also including the name of the part aka SPC (Lighthouse).
The issue occours when data is not recorded properly and I need to investigate the cause - so I need to find the xstats file to check the content.
By now I need to open several measurements or double check date / time to find the relevant xstat files!
It would be quite nifty if I could differentiate the files by part in the name of the file.
