I’ve been measuring the concentricity of drill holes in a component. When I view the standard deviation and mean of the data it is correct. However when I choose to view a histogram in a “Half Normal Distribution” (since I’m only interested in the distance the hole centres are from each other, not the direction) mode the value of the standard deviation it displays is different to that it displayed earlier-the . Is there something the software does to the data in the way of skewing it?
I’ve tried to access the help file to see what is says but all I ever get is “This is not a valid Windows Help File!”
