Hi, Datapage+ is user friendly but simple in it's application. Qdas (in my opinion) is not as user friendly but has more features and is more an industry standard.
I would prefer Datapage+ if you are not looking at really intense studies.
As Hexagon now own Qdas, there may be changes ahead which may improve/complicate Datapage+ by consolidating features, it could also see the end of Datapage+? Who knows..... It's early days.
If you want a simple stats package, I'd probably get DP+ quick in case it does cease.
Maybe the Product Owner will come back with a more official account of the products?

My experience with QDAS has been fairly limited but I think you have pretty much summed it up. QDAS is very powerful but requires a lot more knowledge and setup. Datapage + is very good but not a very in depth program.
