Deleting a part from the database

I am using Datpage 5 Release and I have looked up in the user manual how to delete parts and it says right click and chose delete.

I do not have that option and the Hex Tec that was here installing it said I had full admin rights for it.

Attached is a picture of what I see when trying.

I really need to get these extra parts out because when I export to text, all the old blank dimension labels come in that had been changed at some point. Makes exporting a real pain.

  • I skipped from 2011 to 5.2, so I'm not 100% sure when things changed, so I'll give you the 2011 version (since your right click menu doesn't look like 5.2).

    It looks like you will have to "Delete Transaction" from the Data Editor tab, assuming you have access to it. On the Data Editor tab, click the options button and change from Rows to Columns. Select a cell in the column corresponding to the transaction you would like to delete (drag and highlight left/right to select multiple transactions), then right click and you should have the option "Delete Transactions".

    In 5.2, you can delete transactions directly from the transaction selection section of the window on any tab.
