For some of our manual checks we put input comments at the bottom of our program. I would like to take the numbers I get and carry them over to datapage just like a normal dimension. Not sure if this is possible or not.
Don't know how you transfer over your Data, but I believe if you use STATS you can check this and see if it will transfer over. I don't transfer the Comments.

Yeah
VinniUSMC found out that with this method, you could have as many PC-DMIS seats as you want and control them all with one Datapage seat. Not sure if you can do it with the External Command mode. Switched over from doing that. I find adding the Stats method to be quicker and easier. Plus this way I have 2 seats of Datapage, both were locked in with the HASP. So we deleted one from one of the machines and they are sending a separate HASP with just Datapage on it. So we can install it to a remote computer. That way others won't bother me from trolling on the forum
You still only need 1 seat of DataPage to use the external command. That's how we're setup. The DP computer is separate of my 2 CMM computers. I have only 1 seat of DP on a HASP.
Oh Ok, wasn't sure about that, so it does work with external command. I think Hexagon suckered this company in to having 2 because "it wouldn't work unless you have a seat on each one" <<<my guess. With me not having any background with Datapage before I walked into this place. Had to go along with the story.
VinniUSMC besides that the Datapage was tied into the PC-DMIS seats how about that s_h_i_t
You can only open and use DataPage on the computer that has the HASP, but the DataPageStats external doesn't require a license. Your DataPage license was on the PC-DMIS dongle...? That's dumb.
Yeah I have 2 seats of DataPage. Each one was tied to each machine. Yeah now that I understand it a little more and currently making all the changes, come to find out, that's how Hexagon set it up. I talked to the owner, because I was not around at the time of install. They told him that was the only way it would work. They're so knowledgeable there
