leader lines in reports not working

hi im new to data page/data view.
In data view what can i do with leader lines in my reports. They dont seem to go to the correct features. can this be fixed? can i turn them off?

I was told it would be easier to turn the lines off and draw them by hand.

Now that's funny.......You can not turn the leader lines off.....
