I took Q DAS software and I am experiencing some difficulties with integration. Hexagon group is dealing very badly, because they are transferring us from PC DMIS to QDAS specialists and back, but no one can answer about QDAS configurator. That is no man’s land
The issue is coming from K field 2001, which should be used as characteristic number, with max 20 characters. For some reason PC DMIS is defining it as characteristic description, same as K2002 field, so the information is doubled. It should contain the information like from column Order in File?
In many cases my description is exceeding those 20 characters, especially when using true position, cylinders etc. I have to rename those fields manually. We have many programs and characteristics, so this is the job which is really unnecessary.
Is there any way do make the configurator to work properly?
