retract distance

Trying to set probe retract distance (to 0.050") for a few holes. Program is in INCH at this point. SETCMPAR(RET= 0.05) seems to have no effect. Am I missing something? Is there a canned minimum distance possible? Am I using the wrong command?

Pcdmis will use the retract you put in the program, but in a hole, it will never retract beyond the center point of the hole. So if you have a 0.25" hole and a 0.2" retract, it will only retract 0.125".

I believe this is a Quindos question rather than PC-Dmis since SETCMPAR is a Quindos command. Try entering your retract value in metric rather than inches. Does your retract distance need to beifferent to the approach? If not, just set the approach (POF) and that will set them both to the same value.
