flow curves data

Hello, if you do not add any flow curve at strain rate 1 the solver will interpolate between 982 °C and 1038 °C for 1000 °C. The same will happen for strain rate 0.01. If a strain rate in between occurs in the model, interpolation will be done for the strain rate as well. If you want to use stress strain data which differs from that interpolation, please create a new flow curve for example from your own compression test. Please note: there is no extrapolation, for example for a strain rate below 0.01 or highert than 1.

What happens if we only have stress data for a true strain of 0.2, will the flow curves be constant post 0.2 strain in compression test?

correct, there is no extrapolation.

What happens int the case of hammer forging even though it is energy oriented does the software extrapolate the temperature strain rate dependence at higher strain rates? 

No, the material data dependency for strain rate is not extrapolated in Simufact Forming. That's why hot forging materials for example shipped in our database usually include a broad range of flow curve data for different strain rates.
