Main Functionalities in 4.1.0.0_R1
This version includes:
- Quasar and Nova (solvers used by Lunar) are now a 64bits executable. No more memory limitation to run and to manage the animations display should be encountered.
- Lunar can manage multiple datasets (of Y output signals) in the same project.
- Lunar uses Quasar2 (advanced solver) and Nova2 (advanced optimizer) for all its features.
- Lunar can run optimization with multiple objectives and multiple target for multiple datasets.
- Smart DOE tool:
- New methods: A-optimal, Box Behnken, Full factorial order 2, Improved Latin Hypercube, Latin Hypercube, OLH space filling, Voronoi, etc.
- Improve doe: Add points to the design space:
- New methods:
- Manually: click on display area to add points in the doe (you may change the coordinates manually also from the table tab).
- Automatically: Use Voronoi shapes (uniform, Halton, Grid, random, spherical).
- Possibility to recompute the PCA plot.
- New methods:
- Reduce DOE: Remove points of the DOE:
- Methods: Gram matrix, distance, correlation matrix, covariance matrix, Leave one out, A-optimal, T-optimal, Rosetta
- Interface:
- All PCA plots are now printed in a separate tab.
- Possibility to cancel / redo the sampling before saving.
- A green colour is used for the latest points added by an improvement method.
- Possibility to delete or rewrite points in the table (DOE data tab).
- Possibility to highlight points in the table by clicking on them.
- In the plots, a blue colour is used for the points selected in the table.
- Modification of Lunar Band:
- Step 1-Project: Create a project from 0 or open an existing project.
- Step 2-Data to configure data, reload the database, open the working directory, and save project.
- Step 3-Sensitivity to access the parameter effect page or create new Xn points.
- Step 4-Interpolation to run the prediction.
- Step 5-Optimization to define variable(s), objective(s) and constraint(s), etc.
- Step 6-Animation to define the datasets used for the creation a prediction of an output file.
- User script to run a Quasar program.
- Define a project: The location of the working directory is defined by default in Document\Lunar. Remember: all files loaded in a project are copied inside a working directory. We don’t work with the original files.
- Data Configuration: The files loaded are now defined in a dedicate window in “step 2-Data”.
- Possibility to select multiple dataset Y.
- For each dataset Y, possibility to choose the orientation of data.
- For each dataset Y, possibility to define a distinct interpolation method.
- Interpolation step: The methods is now selected in a dedicate window in “Step 4-Interpolation”.
- For each dataset Y, possibility to define a distinct interpolation method.
- If a method is changed in this dialog box, the Data configuration window is updated.
- The methods selected are not applied to the animation automatically, which may employ yet other methods.
- New Interpolation method proposed:
- Regression solver comes complete the list.
- CLS method (clustering) has been updated to provide the clusters of points found during analysis of the database Y.
- Optimization: Define target(s) and run the optimal points.
- The windows have been updated to allow for Multi objectives per dataset.
- First tab: configure the constraints on parameter and the starting points.
- Second tab: define objective(s) and constraint(s) per dataset.
- Third tab: define the optimization method to use.
- In the second tab, it is possible to import your own quasar script defining the evaluation and constraint functions.
- Clarified the names of optimization methods for easy selection.
- The windows have been updated to allow for Multi objectives per dataset.
- User script:
- Run a Quasar2 script loaded by this tab.
- All scripts available have been adapted to be run with multi dataset.
- Interface:
- Interpolation method name for each dataset Y is presented.
- Graph setting:
- Possibility to apply same style of curves at all the datasets. (Color, line thickness...) by a right clicking on the feature.
- Possibility to apply the same axis X label for all the datasets.
- Reset option have been added.
- Interpolation method name for each dataset Y is presented.
- Animation:
- ROM Solver has to be specified for Animation tab.
- Option to hide shell parts, solid parts, beam parts.
- Option to identify select a part in the list by a double clicking on it in the display screen.
- Preferences:
- The working directory can be changed by selecting the appropriate directory Remember: all files loaded in a project are copied into the working directory:
Default Document\Lunar\ProjectName
We don’t work with the original files.
- Possibility to define another Lunar TEMP directory for animation.
Some files are temporally generated during interpolation or animation step and saved in this directory.
- Help: An access to the directory examples is now given by interface.
