Contact analysis problem

Hi there!! I asking a big help. I doing my master thesis with MSC Patran/Nastran and it consists in a non linear analysis because there are contact and plastic deformation. About contact I had any problem, i have been working for 1 month for that!!! I have already read the manual about this argument and I understand so much but i have problem yet! I make screenshots for each step with a very easy example for understand well this analysis. I attached the powerpoint with screenshots!!!!

The contact bodies are not properly setup, hence contact is not being detected. You might want to send your Patran DB to check the contact bodies/parameters.

I was not sure what is the purpose of the rigid body. We have a pressure load on the box which will come at touch the lower plate. I have kept two deformable bodies of the box and plate, removing the rigid body. Run the Default load case.

Now it works.

Then you had change only the rigid body making a deformable body?? Only this? And about the analysis you had change anythings??

Because in my db I can try to add the box which deformable but I never obtain the result like your!!

I removed the rigid body . Only run the model with 2 deformable bodies. Attached nastran input file.

I have also changed the NLSTEP to adaptive. Basically if you run the Default loadcase in your Patran DB, it should work.

In your db there is the rigid body says "tower" you don't delete that. But I can try to remove it in my DB but I still can't get the same result as you.

And for change NLSTEP, sorry for my lower knowledge, when should I go?

Rigid body "Tower" is there, but I have removed it from the loadcase.
