I'm hoping someone can help. I have been using and programming PC-DMIS for about a year and my company is thinking of buying a Wenzel, which uses Open DMIS, instead of the B&S that I want. Does anybody know anything about the machine or software? Any help would be appreciated.
Well the lawsuit is settled between Renishaw and Hexagon so maybe Hexagon will begin working on interoperability with Renishaw again?? ********* (they don't like the Hexa-**** moniker; so how about Hexa-nazzi??) please comment here.
I can't speak at length about this because even if I knew details about any lawsuits, I wouldn't be able to talk about them.
I'm not sure why you'd want a PH20 when you can scan, but that's just me. Touch probing, while still a valid measurement for sure, is old technology.
Revo is nice if you don't mind paying for another CMM for your CMM. And being restricted on stylii. And being unable to take hits along the axis of the probe. There also have been a host of other issues with them, but I can't talk about that either.

So because pcdmis isn't fully I++ compatible it wont run the PH20/REVO controller.
(This is what I was told but I am open to correction).
they support their products and not Renishaw. Simple as that.
And the fast calibration in ver 4.3 (no scan) for SP25 so much needed for us the user was developed
earlier but PCDMIS didnt include just for that (support their products ) and before you ask have no evidence for it just.... birds told me.
