Just one question, whatever the country, whatever the election:
When you vote, in general, do you vote for one candidate or against another ...?
The point of this question is not to know who you vote for, just how you do it ...
I vote for policies not the sweet words/speech. I don't ever forget who I'm dealing with and what politicians are whether they have a long career or a short one. This election it's very clear who I'm voting for.... Ronald Reagan! aka the real BMF!
Depends on the candidates. Sometimes I am voting for someone and sometimes I am just voting against someone else. In this Presidential election it is both, I really want one candidate and I really despise the other.
Until recently, in ignorance I voted what my parents voted and based it on party, mainly because I didn't understand the importance. Over the last several years, I have dug into policies and ask, "do their words line up with their actions?" because I saw a major disconnect with what was being said and what was being done. I spend a lot of time now doing more independent research and thinking for myself rather than being told what to think.
I normally vote for the policies that the parties are promoting and if they align with my views at the time they get my vote this means I have voted for
most major parties over the years. I have also done a few protest votes if I think none of the major parties are inline with what I want so my vote
will go to the fringe groups but whatever I always vote.
