Man with the current market for cars I'm sure finding it alone was difficult. Was the price reasonable? But id imagine you also got a lot for you 4x4. Probably way more than what it was worth depending on your location.
Was this "THE" car or did you have to settle with cars being so difficult to come by lately?
I have my eyes on a very reasonably priced 67 mustang that needs a lot of work. But what's a dream car if you don't have to put some of your own sweat into it.
Here's my current toy. I use it to participate in something called the Gambler 500, but I have so much fun anywhere it goes, even daily driving it.
Think a SxS with velour seats, windows and ice cold AC and working heater, for the price of a couple SxS tires..
The main reason people don't but manual is that there is no longer an advantage to racing with them. With modern automatics being the king of the drag strip, and paddle shifted DSG,DCT or slush boxes being so fast, you eliminate the room for error. At this point it's purely an experience/pleasure option. But I will still opt for the manual if it's an option on anything I purchase that's a pleasure vehicle.
