I would say it depends on what you use in regards to what Hexagon offers in the
MyCare package. From what I've read on the MyCare package you could be getting the shaft if you don't utilize what they offer or you might even come out ahead if you use what it offers

We use the tech support a lot. We have used the discount a few times. They say the price increase was for machine's older then 10 years and due to the iso rising there costs.

Be nice Iid the money went to service 6 to 8 week lead times for service is insane
I have my care for all 8 of my machines. Some are just the some are just the essential plan and others are premium. I'm probably going to switch them all to essential. When they break down, no one can really work on them so we need the support. You might be able to get out of the software support and it may be cheaper.
We've been sucked into mycare plans for the last three years. It's convenient in the sense that we no longer have to deal with annual/biennial SMA plus repeating the same effort for HMA negotiations and stuff.
I'm personally more upset about how they in the past 6 years have decmiated the scope of what's covered under the HMA agreement. We used to get probe wrists replaced under HMA at no cost. We also used to have hardware costs actually included in the HMA (hence the H).
Unless you are coughing up big bucks for the 'premium' plans, now they nickel and dime (in thousands, lol) every single component regardless of the reason it failed.
