Need help with the help menu

We recently had 2021.1 installed and 3 of our 4 machines is throwing an error message saying "cannot access the help menu". I have had IT down here to reinstall the help.exe file in administrator mode but the help menu is still giving us the error message.

Any help on this one?

Well, its an abbreviated version of the error message.

"Cannot access the help menu. If you don't have internet access you must install the offline help. If you do have the offline help installed, restart PCDMIS to use the offline help.

We have internet access on these machines. I installed this file: Pcdmis_English_Help.exe

Do you have internet access on these machines? If not, did you install the OFFLINE help file? Default is trying to access the ONLINE (internet based) one.

I do have internet access but maybe its some sort of block on the company end. Where is the offline help install file?

Make sure to check Use Offline Help.

I clicked on that offline help, restarted pcdmis and still same error message.

Weird, if I press F1 in PC-DMIS it'll bring me to a local help file. If I uncheck that option, it'll bring me to an online help file.

2021.1 still uses the registry I believe. Make sure you have all permissions necessary for PC-DMIS to save its settings to the registry so when you choose "Offline help" that it really saves your selection.
