Alignment issues. Pleeease help!!

hello everyone,

I'm new to the PC-DMIS programming and here's my issue.

I have a part programmed and works fine. Now I've added a new fixture to the machine that requires the part to be rotated 45 degrees.
I have tried to adjust my alignment and Yline but it still thinks all my features are at the old position before adding that new fixture. How can I fix this and be able to measure all my parts without having to reprogram?

First of all, if you have a program that runs just fine, why add a new fixture and rotate the part 45 degrees?

The fixture was added because it was necessary for the nature of parts we are measuring and the part is actually rotated 90 degrees not 45.

So is it getting measured then turned 90 degrees??? Or is it just turned from the original position 90 degrees? If its just getting turned from original, then all you would have to do is change the tip angles, granted the workplane is in the Z. If it is in the Y or X workplane then that has to be changed.

Its turned from the original position 90 degrees and Im using only the vision for this part. But I've tried many different alignment modification and I cant seem to get it right. It keeps going to where it was before it got rotated.

Just an Fyi, I never had any formal training I had to pick it on my own, this is my second week.

Have you adjusted your manual alignment? Try rotating your origin about 90 degrees, make sure you do the same for your DCC alignment.
