Hello everyone, I needed some info on the description of a thread styli (Item #4 in picture) in the Probe utilities/Probe description dialog box for PC-dmis 2011 MR1? I looked for it but did not find anything similar in the probe builder dialog box with a thread styli probe description (Item #4 in picture). Not sure if I can upload a file from Hexagon Metrology that would give me access to thread stylis? Machine specs Brown & Sharpe Gage 2000 with a PH10T head and TP20 module. Thank any response would be most appreciated.
It's really hard to see your picture, but PC-DMIS doesn't support thread styli. To measure a thread (I'm assuming you need location) use a small styli diameter, construct a circle and use the pitch option. Other option is to use true position locators.

I prefer to check threaded hole locations using precision locators such as Lavezzi, especially when verifying TP. But as BKulpa stated, you can build any probe you want by creating one, but you MUST do so in the USRPROBE.DAT file. It's not that difficult to do once you understand the concept.
