When I run my part through, normally, it sends the stats to Datapage at the end of the program. Now, I'm getting an error message: "Cant open dbd File - Error 5". HELP!
Datapage is not on the network, it's only on the harddrive.
You should be able to get rid of those files shut system down wait a few minutes and fire back up and go directly to you files and try to delete one at a time. JC
When I go to unlock the file, I get this and DPEDITOR error message:
"An error has occured in your application. If you choose IGNORE, you should save your work in a new file. If you choose CLOSE, your application will terminate."
When I choose either CLOSE or IGNORE, I get the same error message:
"APPLICATION ERROR
DPEDITOR caused a General Protection Fault in module DPEDITOR.EXE at 0047:1436. Choose Close. DPEDITOR will close."
Call tech. support with this information they can tell you what this error message is and maybe how to fix. JC
No matter what I've tried, it hasn't worked. I created a new database, and named it TEST, and I can get into it fine. But the others, I keep getting the same message over and over.
Even in the Test file, it has the VISTA file and LOCKMGR.BDL in it, and it still works. Not sure what the deal is, maybe I should just call tech support.
VISTA and LOCKMGR are the files that lock/protect/identify/(whatever) the database. They will be present for ALL databases. SOMETIMES they get slimed, locking you out of a database, deleting them and letting Datapage re-create them will (sometimes) let you back in.
What's crazy is that it'll let me into some of my Datapage files, but not others. The most recent one's I've created (this month), it will let me into, and it will let me delete the Vista and LOCKMGR.BDL file. But the older files, I can't even get into. I get the Error 5 message, and when I try to delete those 2 files, I get Access Denied.
delete the XSTATS11.TMP file if the size is >0 bytes...if it is it may be corrupted as mentioned above...also, be wary of the length of the directory names...anything over 8 characters causes retarded problems....if all else fails, add this code to the beginning of you programs: V1 =FILE/EXISTS,C:\PROGRAM FILES\WAI\PC-DMIS V41\XSTATS11.TMP

Well, it won't even let me edit the names of the Files, I still get an access denied. Even if I try to delete the folders all together, it won't let me do that. Also, if I go into the program and try to replace the files with a new file, it won't even let me do that.
