Anyone using Dataview?

Apparantly not many folks use it bit is anyone using it?
Some of my customers are limited by their inability to visualize reported data
in excel format so I'm thinking I should check out Dataview since we already paid for it.
Anyone?

Thanks

  • I use dataview but hate it....It is a clunky piece of crap

Your gonna have to create macros & execute them from within your part program......Not to mention you have to send all axis from each feature to the database whether you need them or not so your leader lines know where to shoot......I dont believe dview has been updated since the 70's.....

You dont haft to use macro. Everything comes from the data base the macro has nothing to do with the part program besides the data base used within it and dimesions reported which where else would you get the data some pull it out of there a... but mine comes from the part measured. Data view is intended to be a constant charting system for eng. to follow inspections and adjust tooling. It works great if setup correctly. JC
