Monitor Mode, Part 2

I am still having trouble setting this up. I am trying to get the run chart to work, when I click on it, nothing happens. I may just wait for the new version to come out, hopefully that may be a little more user friendly.

Anybody have a step-by-step on setting this up??

Thanks in advance.

  • Yeah, all of that is correct. Maybe I'm asking too much. If I have monitor open, can I see a run or process chart in real time?? Our customer is asking how does an operator know if he or she is running out of control?? We are looking at having Monitor mode open along with PCDMIS, as a part is run, the operator can look at monitor mode (run and or process chart) and see if they are in control. Is this all a pipe dream??

    Thanks for the help.

It is my understanding that MONITOR is "real time", or as "real time" as it gets with Datapage. There is a setting for SET UPDATE TIMER and such, I think that is what determines how often MONITOR updates with all new data. I don't think it does any kind of an automatic update everytime it get new data, for every part, but does it on a timed cycle. You can crank the cycle time down to as low as it will go, maybe that will get what you need?
