DataPage not transfering from xstats11

Just started having this problem yesterday (Mon 7/25). Datapage is not transferring data from xstats11.tmp. I can open xstats11 and see the data with current timestamp and correct dimensions. This is not isolated to one pc-dmis prog.

What I have done so far:

IT guy reloaded Datapage.
Deleted files with .dbl & .taf extensions.
Created a new database and changed path in prog.
Deleted xstats11 every time.

In the datapage folder (old database), the file DATAPG6.D01 is very large – 202,728kb

Data transfer is still not happening in the new database. No blue blocks when prog reaches Stats/Update command – for either db.

Currently waiting for call back from Tech Support.

Any help is appreciated.
  • DPUPDATE.EXE is the program which transfers the data. It resides (in theory) in the pcdmis install directory. Has been moved in later versions but that is another story.
If you double click on DPUPDATE.EXE it should update the database. I think it displays some sort of dialog as it is updating (is that the blue blocks?). If that works, then perhaps pcdmis is not executing it?
If nothing happens maybe something happened to DPUPDATE.EXE?

It should be noted that pcdmis installs dpupdate.exe.
  • Thanks for your response. DPUPDATE was there, just not doing anything. I copied and pasted the file from pcdimis on the other CMM and still no transfer, just stopping at xstats11.

I did get a call back from Tech Support this morning and we ended up restoring the system to last Friday, because the problem started Monday. (Everything was working properly thru the weekend.) This seems to have solved the problem.
  • You do not have to have DataPage installed on the CMM PC for the data to dump into the database. We have 5 PFx's and only two have DataPage licenses but I can run the parts on any CMM and still collect the data. I know this works on V3.7MR3 but don't know if it will on the newer versions.
  • Many of our programs use a subroutine that instructs D/P to display a Spreadsheet report and DP must be open for this to happen. It just quit doing what it had been doing for years. The system restore cured the problem.
