Parallel to USB Dongle Upgrade: Need Auth. Code

We were having problems with our computer. We contacted Hexagon I believe about an upgrade to newer computer. We had the parallel dongle on the old computer. We got a new computer without parallel ports on it. Hexagon sent us a USB dongle. Everything worked fine, except for some minor issues with DataPage, for 45 days. Today when I open up the program I can't load any data in DataPage. It says my license is no longer valid and to put in a code that goes with my dongle serial number. My problem is that I did not recieve a new code with the USB dongle. We are not current on our MSA. Does this mean I'm SOL? I realized how bad of a situation I am in when I couldn't load the database. I just hope I don't have to shell out $8k for the code.

  • This happens when your dongle serial number changes. All you have to do is submit a request with your dongle number and a text dump of your modules (use custprog.exe to generate that) to customer relations email for what ever region you're in. the US one is customerrelations.us@hexagonmetrology.com , give them a little explanation about how you have upgraded to the new USB from the LPT port lock and they should give you a response within an hour.

    (I know this was solved but the extra info never hurts.)
