To run a specific command within the application without using a mouse, Q-DAS applications support the use of function keys, keyboard shortcuts and user-defined hotkeys.
There is also a tooltip for the ribbon bar. This allows the user to activate the menu item description by pressing the [ALT] key. The use of [ALT] key is disabled by default. Use the “General Settings” dialogue to activate the keyboard shortcut combinations with the [ALT] key. <File> | <Configurations> | <General Settings> | <Desktop> | <ALT MS Office keyboard control>

| [CTRL] + [G] | Groups the selected elements. |
| [CTRL] + [U] | Cancels the grouping of elements. |
| [CTRL] + [D] | Opens the dialogue for parts/characteristics allocation. |
| [CTRL] + [L] | Opens the dialogue for sizing and positioning the active element. |
| [CTRL] + [Q] | Opens the graphic configuration dialogue (not for text elements). |
| [DEL] | Deletes the selected elements. |
| procella key bindings Compared to other Q-DAS products/modules, procella has a different default configuration of key bindings. Most of them are used to run commands from the "Summary / Input" windows. And only those commands that are implemented as buttons in the application bar. The buttons available on the application bar can be customised. It is also possible to assign individual key bindings to each of the buttons.  |
