Q-DM

The Q-DM application (formerly Q-DAS Upload) is the central tool for automatic cyclical upload of measurement files from external systems to a database. This includes data from coordinate measuring machines that store the files in a Q-DAS compliant data format, or local O-QIS MCA/CMM Reporting installations that forward the files to the central upload after the first control loop.

Installation as a service In order to automatically upload files the application must be started and permanently running. It is also possible to run the Q-DM as a Windows system service so that it is not dependent on a manual start. The advantage of this is that when the computer is restarted, the relevant upload job will start automatically without any further action being required. Dashboard Upload Dashboard is a central tool for monitoring uploads. When suitably configured, administrators can get an overview of all running uploads, all search directories, and all files which are ready to be uploaded. The Upload Dashboard also can be used for the distribution of central catalogue information to local workstations. How to configure and work with the Upload Dashboard is part of a separate topic.
