Installation Variants

It describes the technical possibilities of different installation scenarios and their advantages and disadvantages. In general, a server-client installation is recommended for the classic Q-DAS Desktop products, but there may be exceptions, which will be discussed in the workshop.

Active Directory - Windows User Rights
This document is intended to provide food for thought. It shows how to reasonably apply Active Directory user rights to the folder structure of Q-DAS products.

(LDAP)
This documentation shows how user-specific information stored in the Active Directory is automatically transferred to the Q-DAS desktop applications. This makes it possible to automatically fill report headers with the current information from the Active Directory.
