procella in 30 minutes
The intention behind this document is to show that procella can be easy to use and easy to configure. For this, a general example will be used that can be implemented to various manufacturing environments. Nevertheless, it is supposed to serve as food for thought, since every customer has a little bit different needs and use cases. Terminology in procella
For working with the Q-DAS application procella and especially for considering possible applications of the measurement sequence control, it is first necessary to clarify the technical terms used in advance. In this document, the definitions of terms are explained.

Default for Layout Configuration
The use of different storage options for the window displays as well as the configuration of inspection plans on different levels (standard, parts, characteristic) often led to confusion. As of version 13, there is a global option for configuration distribution. This document describes how the configuration distribution works and how to use it.

Configuration of Application Bar
The Application Bar provides quick access to additional graphics, windows or functions and can be customised to suit the user's requirements. The Application Bar can be shown/hidden and configured for all Q-DAS graphics. Although available for all products, the Application Bar is described in detail for procella, the module with the most available options.

Configuration of Setup Data Recording
The options in the "Setup data recording" dialogue are used to organise the flow of the measurement situation. They define the behaviour of the Q-DAS application and the interactions required from the operator. In this document the Options in "Setup data recording" dialogue are explained.

Send Alarm Notifications via e-mail
Based on alarm conditions defined in the evaluation strategy, procella provides the ability to send an e-mail when an alarm occurs. The system information required to send e-mails using the Q-DAS applications, as well as the configuration and handling of alarms in procella, are covered in this document.

Logical Operation Formula
Using a logical formula, it is possible to automatically calculate characteristics based on the previously measured values. In procella these calculated characteristics can be visualised in the Summary/Input window and alerted accordingly. A separate topic describes how to use the logical operation formula within various Q-DAS products and modules. Setup of Measuring Devices
To ensure constant measuring accuracy, the measuring equipment such as calipers, probes and other measuring devices must be adjusted at regular intervals. The "Setup measurement" provides the ability to do this directly on the production line.

Special Measurement
A measurement procedure contains the defined measurements, subgroups, number of test objects to be measured as well as the characteristics to be measured and their frequencies. If a data set is loaded in procella, the measurement value recording follows the defined measurement procedure. With the special measurement, it is possible to do measurements with a different measurement procedure.

Use of a Signal Tower
In procella, O-QIS procella and O-QIS MCA/CMM Reporting, a signal tower can be used to directly indicate an OK / nOK measured value. Which general conditions must be met in order to use a WERMA signal tower are described in a separate topic. Link to: Using a Signal Tower

Synchronising local test plans with the central database
Depending on the data flow and existing infrastructure, it may be necessary to keep test plans locally available for recording. In order to display various dialogues in a larger size for better operation in tablet mode, there is a switch. This document describes this switch and the dialogues that are affected by it.

Operator information in the additional data
If the operator is to be stored for a measured value, the Q-DAS procella application also offers the possibility to use the operator information from the user management. The user management also provides a password request during the data recording. This FAQ describes the different possibilities to add the operator information to a measured value.

Additional data for subgroup recording per test object
Using the data sets with vertical measurement procedure, the same characteristics of all Test objects are measured in succession. The recording of additional data follows the measurement procedure. This document describes the possibility to record the additional data per test object and still keep the measurement procedure according to the subgroup recording.

Data sets with mixed measurement directions
Depending on the metrological or organisational context, the requirements of the measurement situations can be different. According to the available measuring devices and the organisation of the measurement procedure, mixed measurement directions may be required. This FAQ describes the possibility of recording a characteristic group by measuring the test objects one after the other (horizontal measurement direction) while further characteristics are measured by subgroups (vertical measurement direction).

Simple recording of attributive bulk data
Using data sets with attributive characteristics to record many different defects per test object can be quite time-consuming if the recording is configured in an unfavorably way. This FAQ describes the possibility to record only one state manually and to automatically assign a predefined state to all characteristics that are not recorded.

procella subgroup report
More or less a case study for the Form-Designer, but for a report which can be shown to the User after a measurement of an intire subgroup has been made to take a view abou the Alarms and deviations.
