Release and maintenance cycle

Every 2 years Major version of Q-DAS is released. Since the day the major version is released, we guarantee support and maintenance for a 3 years period. That gives us 1 year overlap where 2 Major version of Q-DAS are being supported.

Example with V15 (2024.1) and V14:

V14 – Originally released on 30.3.2022. End of support is 31.3.2025.

V15 – Originally released on 10.4.2024. End of support is 10.4.2027.

During this period of time, customers with valid maintenance contract can expect support and bug fixes.

We recommend to start planning update procedure during the original release of new Major version. There is 1 year for planning, testing and validating new version. With such strategy, you will never run out of support.

Naming the Versions

Since version "V15", the Q-DAS software has adopted the language of all other Hexagon products. Due to the fact that we are subject to three years of maintenance and support for each major release, we have added the Hexagon version name (e.g. 2024.2) to the old, familiar version number in Q-DAS, also showing the Patch-Version (*.x) in the name. 
Below is a list of upcoming versions with their names as an example.
