Basic handling
This document describes how to use Form Designer with a focus on the creation and modification of report templates in Q-DAS application qs-STAT.

Text elements in reports
Text elements are used to add a text or a block of text to the report. The use of text elements not only provides the benefit of consistent terminology, but also includes automatic translation when different national languages are used.

References and links in reports
With a "Reference" element, reports, files or web pages can be opened with one click and it is also possible to switch to a specific section or page within a report. This document describes how to use the special element "Reference".

Report templates with placeholders
This document describes the handling of different placeholders for printing current graphics, the use of user-group-independent report templates with selection windows and the configuration of placeholders in the Form Designer (Q-FD).

Table of contents in the reports
If reports with extensive or complex structures are created for inspection plans, a table of contents can serve to orientate the user. With the special element "Table of contents", the structure of the inspection plan can be automatically generated and reproduced as a table of contents according to individual specifications. The structure of the inspection plan and data flow remain unchanged. This manual describes the special element "Table of Contents", which is used to create tables of contents automatically in the reports, and the options for including free text in the table of contents.

Reduction of paper consumption by using container
To reduce paper consumption, the special element "container" is available in Form Designer (Q-FD) when using datasets with mixed characteristic types for the display of list graphics suitable for continuation pages. By arranging individual graphics sequentially, the container ensures that the space on a page is used efficiently when printing. This manual describes how to use, create and configure containers.

Logo in Reports

Embedding graphics using connecting lines
Any graphic can be added to a report file and linked to a Q-DAS graphic (value chart, histogram) by connecting lines. How to add an individual graphics and create connecting lines to a Q-DAS graphic is part of the "Embedding and Using Graphics" topic. Link to: Images in the Q-DAS Applications

Display button bars
One of the tools for simplified handling in the Q-DAS applications are the button bars. These are so-called toolbars with individually configurable buttons for access to important or frequently used functions. With the aim of simplifying clarity and comprehensibility, the functions and handling have been divided into various topic-specific FAQ documents.
