As in all Q-DAS products, the calculation method and requirements are also defined in solara.MP by the strategy. The desired evaluation types must first be permitted and defined by the person responsible in the strategy. Most of the upcoming types are explained using the example of the Q-DAS evaluation strategy.
In the strategy, basic settings are made that either apply to all types or only to a specific type of evaluation.
Some main dependencies: In the Preparation tab the decision has to be made which gerenal MSA-Version should be used for the calculation. This has especially influence on the calculation for type 2 and type 3.
With a strategy according to MSA 4. Edition the decision has to be made if the strategy is calculating the “well known” Type 1 with Cg / Cgk, or if the real requirement from the MSA, the BIAS Study should be done “only”. (both types will be explained).
For each individual evaluation type, the strategy contains the settings for data collection, calculation method and requirements.
Talked about using the example of a type 2 study:
Recording Data
This is where the basic settings are made for how many parts, testers and measurements are to be used per part, with minimum and maximum settings. In this case, neither more nor less than defined in the strategy can be selected on the feature screen.
Calculation method
One of the most important settings. The calculation. In addition to ANOVA, the obsolete ARM method is also available for a type 2, settings for calculating the repeatability, the comparative precision, what the reference variable should be and much more, depending on the procedure.
This elementary tab is the biggest difference to other software packages: comparable evaluations, which do not depend on user options, but are specified by company management.
Requirements
The requirements tab defines exactly what constitutes a “capable process”. In the “How-to” rows, only the most well-known requirements are dealt with to a limited extent.
