The note codes for the evaluation strategy appear next to the name of the strategy, if applicable. If one of the four different codes is listed there, the question of "data manipulation" must be asked.
Code | Description | Remark |
D | The user has discarded the distribution model selected by the software and replaced it with a manually selected distribution model. | The software starts automatically with a pre-selected distribution model which is defined in the evaluation strategy. Next the software uses a goodness-of-fit test. If the pre-selected distribution model is rejected by this test, the software uses a goodness-of-fit criterion to identify and select the best-fit distribution model. The manually selected distribution model may be inferior in terms of the best-fit criterion. |
F | The target values for the cability indices were taken from the data set. | These data set specific target values typically deviate from the target values of capability indices defined in the evaluation strategy. |
Q | The user has discarded the Quality Control Chart (QCC) selected by the software and replaced it with a manually selected Quality Control Chart. | The software selects automatically a Quality Control Chart according to the settings of the corresponding options in the used evaluation strategy. |
S | The data used for the evaluation is a subset of the initally loaded data set. | A subset is created, for example, by removing outliers via an outlier test or by selecting manually a subset. |
