The use of catalogues not only speeds up the input of recurring information, such as additional data or units, but also acts as a form of spell check. This eliminates the possibility of different spellings, making it easier to apply automated analysis such as filters and selections (queries). Another advantage of using the catalogue is that it saves storage space by using internal identification (ID).
There are two ways to manage catalogues:
- Catalogue data from file
Catalogue information is stored in a central file. To ensure that all systems and user groups with the same catalogues, they must be configured accordingly. - Catalogue data from database
Catalogue information is stored in the value database, i.e. the database in which the measured values are also stored. When working with multiple databases, this means that when changing to another database, the catalogues of the new database are used.

Distribution of the Catalogue via Upload Dashboard The Upload Dashboard is primarily a tool for monitoring uploads. However, it can also be used to transfer a copy of Q-DAS catalogues to measurement stations. Link to: Upload Dashboard - Q-DAS Tools Launcher |
