The basic configuration of the Q-DAS applications is set using the options in the "General Settings" dialogue. The settings affect the graphical interface, printing behaviour, graphics handling or text layout. For better understanding, the configuration and use of some options are described in separate documents.

Consider process interventions in QCC
A fundamental problem when working with a moving subgroup type is the risk of over-control in the case of SPC. With this type of subgroup, a single measured value is used in many subgroups (at least 2). To mitigate this case, the option "Consider process interventions" has been created. |

Variation of additional data The "Protocol additional data on loading" option provides the possibility to view the variation of the additional data. This allows the additional data stored in the dataset to be listed internally, i.e. logged. The information of this variation of additional data can be used as a summary display as well as in many other different positions in the application. |

Rearrange subgroups The "Rearrange subgroups" option provides a way of saving the subgroup information in the measured values and using it to generate the subgroups. When loading the data, this option uses the information K0080 and K0081 from the additional data of the values to create the subgroups. Measured values with the same subgroup ID (K0080) are grouped together in a subgroup and sorted according to their item number (K0081). Incomplete subgroups are automatically filled with blank values. However, measured values where the position number is outside the specified subgroup size or multiple occurrences will be eliminated. |
