Evaluation Strategy

Strategies
The evaluation strategies are the heart of the Q-DAS software. All mathematical statements and most graphics are based on the calculations defined by the strategy. This document deals exclusively with the core questions on the strategies! Basic parts are explained. A comprehensive description of all parts of the strategy is NOT possible.

Total Part Evaluation
In order to be able to present processes transparently, capability characteristic values (e.g. Cp, Cpk) are primarily calculated at the characteristic level. Especially in the long-term evaluation of larger data sets, it is not only about the evaluation of one characteristic, but about a comprehensive evaluation of parts, each with several characteristics and part measurements.

Pre-Runs
With pre-run studies, the examination of the first part, the examination of the first sample of a starting production, it can be checked whether a transfer into the production process makes sense, related to the location of the determined values.

Positional Tolerances

Naming of C-Values
Again and again, support is asked about the naming of the C-Values. Cm, Pm, Cp, Pk, Tp, Po. This document briefly describes which names exist, with which meanings, sometimes in relation to standards and from the definitions in the past, i.e. there was no naming defined in standards.
