Occasionally it is necessary to export data to other formats in order to share it with a third party who does not have access to Q-DAS applications. For this purpose, Q-DAS provides the Excel export. The first step is to define a template that specifies what information is to be exported. The special saving options can then be used to export the loaded data according to the template.
Configuration Excel Export
To define a template for Excel export the "Configuration Excel Export" dialogue is used.
<File> | <Configurations> | <additional settings> | <Configuration Excel export>
- To specify the content and order of the K-fields to be exported.
- Options used to specify the output format.
- Preview of the specified settings for the loaded data.
The default settings can be changed. However, if this functionality is not allowed for a user, the dialogue for saving the Excel file may still be accessible.
The information will not be exported if the corresponding K-field is not configured here.
All users can inherit this configuration template if this dialogue is configured as "ConfigurationUser".
Saving loaded data to Excel file
To access the dialogue for saving the load data as an Excel file, use the "Save as (Configuration Excel export)" option.
<File> | <Save...> | <Save as (Configuration Excel export)>
The data type listed in the dialogue cannot be selected. It is only used to look up the supported data type. To create an Excel file, specify the location and file name with type (file extension).
When opening Excel files that originate from Q-DAS products, Microsoft Excel may display a security message. In this case the message can be ignored.
